		<description>The demarkation between &#039;reactive&#039; and &#039;endogenous&#039; depression is an artificial one. Depression is depression, though it can vary in severity. As for treatment with drugs, increasingly evidence is emerging (see recent metaanalysis by University of Hull, England) to show that we have been duped by the pharmaceutical industry and in fact the so -called antidepressant drugs are in fact useless, no better than salt pills. Depression can be cured however it requires considerable patience, education, training in self-regulation skills and a strong support system. Alexander
