Scientists have discovered when we are anxious and stressed, out brain waves tend to speed up from their usual slow, relaxed alpha waves, to faster, more alert beta waves. There are many ways of slowing down these brain waves and therefore re balancing the stress response.

Most people do this by taking tranquillisers as Valium, Librium, Ativan, Xanax or the assortment of other trade names that exist. All these will inevitably have some type of unwanted side effects, some of which include, dizziness, drowsiness, irritability, inability to concentrate and a general feeling of being unwell.

What most people want to do when they are stressed and anxious is to relax, but at the same time be clear headed, alert and focused. It would be possible to take each one of these nutrients separately but that would mean swallowing a lot of little pills.
