Nausea Home Remedies

Nausea the sickening feeling that what is gone down is about to come up strikes practically all of use at one time or another. So if unsettled stomach is your problem, consider these solutions and nausea remedies.

Ginger
A spice with a bite ginger tops or patients list of stomach settling remedies. Almost 70% of the people who suffer from nausea tell us ginger relieves their nausea. There is some good scientific evidence that ginger can prevent the nausea associated with motion sickness.

Sugar and starch
More than 60% of people who suffer from nausea say that a bit of carbohydrate often placates a mildly belligerent belly. Crackers candy and coke were all reported to have a nausea soothing effect.

Coca cola
For some people coca-colais primary remedy against nausea. Other say a teaspoon or so of cola syrup, available over the country at drugstores, works as well as soda or coca-cola.

Emetrol
Emetrol is a good medicine against nausea. Emetrol is similar in composition to cola syrup but contains no caffeine or cola flavoring.

Vitamin B6
Several studies suggest that vitamin B6 is an effective treatment for morning sickness. A much more recent study, involving 59 pregnant women with nausea and vomiting problems, confirmed its effectiveness.

Peppermint under the tongue
Put a few drops of peppermint under the tongue. It calms down the stomach within minutes.

Chamomile tea
Chamomile is an herb with a long tradition as a digestive aid, and scientific studies support its use. Several chemicals in chamomile oil appear to relax the muscles of the stomach and intestinal wall. You can buy chamomile herbal tea at the supermarket or health food store.
